Happy late Thanksgiving dear readers! I hope you all had a spectacular time and stuffed yourselves to your heart’s content. We spent a wonderful week in beautiful North Carolina with my grandparents. It was a little cold in the beginning of the week but other than that we had a fantastic time.
We did a lot of sightseeing and boy were there some pretty amazing views!

As we drove through the Carolina hills, we passed a bunch of Christmas tree farms. The hills were dotted with a bunch of perky green trees. The whole visit I felt like I was in a Christmas movie because the towns we visited looked like the small towns in the holiday movies. 🙂
We were able to really get into the Thanksgiving mood by volunteering at the Samaritans’ Purse Processing Center in Boone. We put together the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. It was a lot of fun!
Thanksgiving day was great. Although, it was different for us this year because we didn’t cook at all. We ate at a fancy restaurant with a Thanksgiving dinner buffet. It was a less stressful day to be sure, but it didn’t have that traditional Thanksgiving feel.
One of my favorite parts about the trip was staying up and watching Christmas movies! Ahh…the wonderful time of year when you can binge watch holiday classics.
Here are a few more pictures from the rest of the week:
Have a fabulous weekend and don’t forget to start binge watching Christmas movies!
See ya real soon!
